Machine characteristics
The road shoulder cutter is intended for cutting profiling of road shoulders, to ensure proper road surface drainage and increase its usage safety.
The machine is attached to an agricultural tractor, driven by PTO shaft and tractor’s hydraulic system. The machine is controlled from the cab. Rotation of auger, the rotor loading the excavated material onto the conveyor belt, profiling plate and conveyor belt as well as width and depth adjustment are provided by power hydraulics.
The independent hydraulic system of the HYDROG cutter is driven by the tractor’s PTO shaft. It is an energy-efficient smart system that automatically adjusts the hydraulic power to the type and hardness of the material cut.
Requirements concerning the agricultural tractor
- combustion engine power: at least 110 HP
- crawler gearbox
(ability to drive with the speed from 350 m/h) - recommended tractor weight: at least 5 000 kg
The hydraulic pump of the tractor is used for the linear hydraulics – i.e. to change the cutting width and omit obstacles (trees, poles), as well as to allow the cutting head change from the transport position to working position.
The working width and depth are adjustable steplessly – hydraulically. The performance of the machine depends on the height of the shoulder, the desired working width, the type of soil, the volume of tipper bodies or tractor trailers and the mobility of their placement.
Downtime can be caused by the transportation of cut material over a long distance and too little tippers. Depending on the above mentioned parameters, the productivity of the cutter is up to 1600 rm/h, and the cubic capacity of collected soil – up to 100 m3 /h.
